Make a September date with Culture Night

Culture night means many things to many different people. For some its an excuse to get to see exhibits, museums and art galleries they’d otherwise have to pay for. Others like to join in with the buzz of the crowd as people mill together watching films, going to live events, eating cheese or some other tasty gratis canap treats. But whether you’re there to get cultured or just to have a laugh, Culture Night 2015 promises to be foot loose, fanciful and full of fun. Part of the line-up for the night has been announced, with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) hosting an array of film, TV and radio projects at its offices at 2-5 Warrington Place, Dublin 2. The evening promises a listening lounge from 5pm to 10pm where visitors can come relax and immerse themselves in an entertainment-filled radio listening session. The Sol Cinema, a mobile solar-powered cinema, will also show some films created through the BAI-funded Sound & Vision scheme. The BAI Culture Night, now in its third year, expects to see a crowd of more than 250 visitors through its doors. The PPI Radio Awards Hall of Fame 2015 nominees will also be announced on the night, celebrating those who have made an exceptional contribution to radio in Ireland. And if you just cant wait till Culture Night kicks off on September 18th, get involved on Facebook and Twitter using the hash tags #LOVECulture, #CultureNight, or #CN2015.
